Return on Investment, or ROI, is a measure of how much money a nonprofit organization makes about how much money is put into it. For example, if a nonprofit organization has an ROI of 2, that means for every dollar that is put into the organization, two dollars are made. ROI is often used as a way to measure the success of a nonprofit organization. A high ROI means that the organization is doing a good job of making money, while a low ROI means that the organization is not doing as well. Nonprofit organizations should always be looking for ways to increase their ROI so that they can do more with the money they have.
